Hub Mayer and John Koon
are Retired Police Officers applying their experience and skills in the
private sector, where they work for attorneys and private citizens alike.
Between them, they have over 50 years experience serving the community. They
have developed a successful Private Investigation Company in Houston Texas.
Hub Mayer is a retired
Homicide Detective from the Houston Police Department (HPD). He served the
citizens of Houston in that capacity for over 15 years. He served several
years in a Drug Interdiction unit and in Officer Integrity. He has received
many awards from the department and has been honored to receive a
prestigious award from the 100 Club. He retired in 2004 as a Police Sergeant
in the Homicide Division of HPD. Hub Mayer is now in private practice as a
State of Texas Licensed Houston Private Investigator.
John Koon is a retired
public safety officer (police-fire) from DFW International Airport between
Dallas and Fort Worth. Has served ten years in the Houston Fire Marshal’s
Office as a Fire Inspector and another ten years before that as a
Firefighter and EMT. John further served the community during his twenty
years as a firefighter as a reserve police officer, starting out in the
Harris County Sheriff’s Office working in the jail and on street patrol. He
went with several Harris County Constable Offices in later years serving
civil papers and working patrol. He |

retired in 2004 as a
Public Safety Lieutenant at DFW Airport. John Koon is now in private
practice as a State of Texas Licensed Houston Private Investigator.
Hub and John met in 1982
when Hub was a HPD Sergeant, assigned to head up a “Direct Area Response
Team” that was tasked to go into specific areas of Houston and stop drug
trafficking, prostitution and to close illegal gambling and drinking
establishments. At the time, John was a Fire Inspector working in the
Houston Fire Marshal’s Office. Hub requested help from the Fire Marshal’s
Office to assist in closing down illegal clubs. Hub and John worked together
daily in the DART unit for two years and made a positive impact on many
neighborhoods.
Hub and John partnered
up again, in 2004, to combine their extensive career experiences to form a
Houston Private Investigations company. Their years of experience covered
many areas including street patrol, officer integrity, drug interdiction,
homicide, fire investigation & inspections, officer safety, anti-terrorism,
hazardous materials operations, and supervision & management of various
units and emergency incidents. Both are licensed Texas Private Investigators
and Texas Supreme Court Certified Private Process Servers. They are both
members of Texas Association of Licensed Investigators (TALI) and the Texas
Process Servers Association (TPSA). |
